In real life, most of us don't refer to a dude's penis as a throbbing rod of steel while we're getting it on but in books authors have to get a bit creative. This usually isn't a problem for me but sometimes an author uses a word or phrase that makes you either stop and go 'huh?' or just bust out laughing. Here are some that made me do just that...

Question of the Week: We all know that in romance, authors each have their own unique phrases when referring to those special man and lady bits or the act of those bits getting together. ;) What is one or a few of the silliest phrases you have read?

- Possess the lily - I'm doing a Louis Griffin "Whaaa?" for that one
- Probed her - That just isn't sexy
