Lexy’s Thoughts:
Imagine a man who wears nothing but black, gold streaked brown hair and chiseled features staring you down. Not only are his looks enough to render you speechless, he is reckless and daring as he risks his life taking bets to race. Turn and flee or boldly open your arms to him, a tough choice.

Jeffries has created a memorable character with the Angel of Death, Gabriel Sharpe. Events that happened early in his young life have molded him into this death defying young man who also happens to be honorable. Over the guilt of his part in his best friends death and the repercussions it has on the grieving family Gabriel has come up with the perfect way to offer an olive branch. Marry his best friends sister.
Virginia has grown up knowing loss as well. Yet she still remains sunny and happy with her lot in life. Except when she thinks of her deceased brothers friend responsible for his death. Revenge in the form of humiliation is what she has come up with; too bad she seems to have a weak spot for a man in black.

To Wed a Wild Lord is the fourth installment of the Hellions of Halstead Hall. If you are a follower of the series you will enjoy finding out what really happened to the siblings parents and the events of the race that changed Gabriel’s life. If you have never read a Hellions of Halstead Hall book you will not be lost but will be able to slip right into the family and events. The end sets up the fifth book nicely with a little teaser of what Celia is up to.

Overall a nice historical romance, nothing too outside of the box and a great character in Gabriel.

  1. Sounds like there's a little mystery with the romance. I've never read these, but they sound good.
